Jintana Roberts a native of Bangkok, Thailand, apprenticed under her mother a renowned chef in Southern Asia. In her days as a young chef, Jintana travelled throughout the orient preparing and sampling some of the regions unique delicacies. She has had the honor of preparing receptions and dinners for international celebrities and dignitaries. When called on to recreate what already is one of Kauai’s most popular Asian restaurants we wanted to design an atmosphere that would take you back in time to a place far far away.
We imported the all new granite tile flooring all the way from Thailand, and installed fine hand rubbed finish African mahogany trims throughout. We enhanced the cozy feel with elegant sconce and carefully placed delightful mood lighting. Southern Asia is known for their use of exotic wood crafting so we created a wonderful wood façade curtain and valance made from imported Sapele wood. If you haven’t been to Sukhothai Café in a while … you’re in for a treat, not only do they have great Thai food…we dare say, “Fit for a king”!
